These Messianic Jewish engraved plaques contain a slight variation on the theme of Deut 6:4 with verse 5 added in both English and Hebrew. It is called the "Shma" in Messianic Jewish and Hebrew circles. This lovely "Shma" reflects a literary style dating back to early biblical days when the bible scripture did not contain chapter and verse; so the students and masters there of would recall important sequences of bible scripture by its initial word used in the first verse of the particular Torah portion recited. In this case "Shma Israel... or Hear Oh Israel"...
